Sadsad Tamesis Legal and Accountancy Firm (STLAF) was honored to send a representative to the Kyiv-Manila Strategic Dialogue, hosted by Ateneo de Manila University last July 24.
The event brought together representatives from various institutions, including the European Union Delegation to the Philippines, several embassies, and other key organizations, for a series of meaningful discussions and open forums centered on the Philippines’ evolving ties with Ukraine and the European Union. Through these conversations, our representative gained valuable insights into the many dimensions of this relationship, from economic partnerships and trade opportunities to migration policy and broader regional cooperation.
Listening to perspectives from diplomats, policymakers, and institutional representatives offered a deeper understanding of how international relations, economic strategy, and regional stability intersect, and how these dynamics can shape opportunities for countries like the Philippines moving forward. The open forums, in particular, allowed for candid exchanges of ideas, giving attendees a fuller picture of the challenges and opportunities that come with strengthening ties between nations with very different histories, yet shared interests in security, growth, and cooperation.
For STLAF, being part of this dialogue was a valuable reminder of how interconnected the legal, economic, and diplomatic spheres truly are, and how staying informed on these broader global conversations allows us to better serve our clients in an increasingly interconnected world. We are grateful to Ateneo de Manila University for organizing such an insightful gathering, and to all the institutions and representatives who generously shared their knowledge and perspectives throughout the event.
