Last August 3, members of Sadsad Tamesis Legal and Accountancy Firm (STLAF) spent the day at Anawim, sitting down with the lolos and lolas of the community for an afternoon of “Kwentuhan sa Anawim.”
Through this simple yet meaningful gathering, our team had the privilege of listening to stories of youth, of hardship, of joy, and of lives fully lived. Each story shared was a reminder of the richness that comes with a life well-lived, and of how much wisdom and warmth our elders carry with them. In return, we hope that we were able to give them, even just for a few hours, the warmth of being heard and remembered.
To every lolo and lola who opened up and shared a piece of their story with us, thank you. You reminded us that kindness is often as simple as sitting down and listening, and that presence, more than anything else, is one of the most meaningful gifts we can offer one another.
